Hi, my name is Michelle. I'm 33 and I'm an east coast girl at heart, born and raised in New Brunswick, I now live in Kitchener, Canada. I thought it would be nice to introduce myself to you through pictures...although I'm no photographer, I am a visual person and find it easier to say something through pictures than through words.

This was my grandmother's everyday china and is now my everyday china. There is something so special in knowing they have a second life. I smile every time I fill a bowl with Hamburg Soup (her recipe that I loved as a child).

My boys. They remind me that achieving and finding what you want most in life is possible no matter how impossible or how far off it may seem.

I love tea! My best friend introduced me to my first cup. Tea can solve almost any problem or at least make me feel a whole lot better about it. Mmm...cream earl grey!

I learned to knit as a child and can still remember my first set of needles. They were red plastic and part of a box kit. I learned to knit at a young age, but it wasn't until my late twenties that I became hooked. Knitting has been a creative outlet for me ever since. Everything I know about knitting I've learned through trial and error along with a lot of help from Mom. Thanks Mom!

So, if you love knitting, tea, and being inspired by vintage finds you will love tinselmint! Some of the things I'll be sharing with you are how to knitting videos, some vintage inspired DIY, and of course a cup of tea or two.
